The Merry Month of May

(Written June 14)

Oh, my, the time is flying these days! The weather is beautiful, we've had a lovely visit from my parents, and we are heading to CA for Grandma Cox's memorial service, then back for 5 days and on to Indiana!

In the meantime, May has come and gone and we've celebrated Wade's FIRST BIRTHDAY, Garrett's end to his Kindergarten class at Cross of Christ Lutheran School, the end of Awana....we've adjusted to the summer schedule and have been enjoying time at home with all 4 of us during the day....

So before time gets completely away from me, I'll just post the latest pictures of what we were up to in May before Mom and Dad visited...

Wyatt working on a project with cotton balls:

G & W made kitty collars:

WADE'S FIRST BIRTHDAY!!

He wasn't too sure about the big blob of cake on his tray and only took a few dabs of it, seeming a little scared. Normally his food is cut into tiny pieces. When we offered pieces of it the next day he did gobble it up!

Drinking out of a sippy cup like a big boy! Ah, the freedom...

Garrett and Wyatt doing a project like G did at school - making boats out of tin foil, floating them and adding pennies to see how many pennies each boat could hold before sinking.

Another gluing project!

Wade very happy in his favorite person's arms!

Garrett made me this sweet bag, pot, and poem for Mother's Day!

We enjoyed Red Robin for Mother's Day.

Garrett's play on the last day of school. He was a black cat in "The Tortoise and the Hare."

Then Garrett finished up his Awana Cubbies class, having earned all of his patches of Bible memory!

Getting Caught Up...Part 4

Loving their igloo!

Jumping!

Everyone got excited about Wade's play table!

Love those dear heads...

Wyatt braving the weather as another snow storm rolls in.

Wade is very into peek-a-boo these days!

...and he loves to get outside now that the weather is warmer. First time on the grass??

Enjoying a new-to-us wagon that the neighbors gave us.

Wyatt helped me make homemade Larabars today! They are delish!

Getting Caught Up...Part 3

With their "lawnmowers."

Wade loves standing and watching everything from his pack n play in the mornings while we get ready. G & Wyatt love getting in and playing with him.

Garrett with his "truck" with the complete engine. He is checking the oil.

Wade enjoying the outdoors.

Wyatt is very into balloons these days...

Helping fill the truck up with fresh oil.

Wade is fearless around the vacuum! Even when it's on, he comes right up to it.

For my birthday, my sweet Jim made his sweet ribs. Yum!

I made some carrot chips. Also yum!

At our park.

All bundled up...it was chilly and windy!

Wyatt helped me by letting me take pictures of him while he munched on TJ's vacuum fried pineapple chips to feature in our newsletter for NMC's.

The boys "modeling" some great new popsicle molds. I just pour smoothie into them, and they devour them as if they were soooo much better than smoothies! ;)

Ready for a walk to the park!

Wyatt with his "him-pim brush"

Enjoying floating clumps of grass down to the lake.

Wade LOVES his Daddy!!

Well, so do all of the boys!

G reading to Wyatt from his Shared Reading Book from Kindergarten

Getting Caught Up...Part 2

Jim made an "igloo" for the boys when the snow storms hit. They loved it, as they were trying to figure out a way to make an igloo before and got discouraged trying.

Dying Easter Eggs.

They brushed butter on the Empty Tomb Rolls we made for Easter. A big hit!

Garrett figured out a way that the packaging for the dough was like the tomb, with the lid off and the stone  rolled away!

Wade's "ok cupboard" where he likes to get into the tupperware.

Wade Skyping with Lars. They both had their Leap Frog "laptops."

Getting ready for friends to come over for a Saturday Easter brunch...

G hunting...

Wyatt hunting...

Easter morning family pictures. It's fun to take these every year. Garrett was very proud of his newly-styled and then personally messed up "mad scientist hair."

We started the tradition of making a Lamb of God cake.

Our friends invited us over for Easter dinner, and we brought the cake for dessert.
