Summer Doings

We enjoyed several days at the zoo. Here are Wyatt and Wade hiding out in the penguin house rocks next to the exhibit. A fun place for kids to pretend!

Camping in Reverend's Ridge was a lot of fun, as usual.

 

Well, maybe not a ton of fun for Wade because he got a fat lip when we were out on a family bike ride. :( He fell off and hit his lip when the boys got scared by a truck coming quickly around a corner. But as you can see, he was a real trooper! Look at that brave smile for Daddy.

 

But this is more how it felt...

 

Favorite part of the camping trip for the boys was the campfire and S'mores!

 

Garrett and Wyatt impressed me with their ability to put the cushions together to fold down the bed and they did that each night pretty well.

 

They loved playing in the dust! (cough, cough...)

 

Fishing was another big highlight! I discovered that it pretty much means junk food and sodas to them. ;-)

 

We love going over to Krylie Pond.

 

Wade loves his little spot next to Jim on the side of the big bed.
