California

Okay, this is only two months late.... but better late than never?

Here are some more pictures of our trip to California for Grandma Cox's memorial service. We had planned on coming out in August but decided to make this our trip for the summer. It was really nice being there with the whole family - the DeHarts were there from Texas, and the Jensens are now right next door to Mom and Dad!

It was SO exciting for the boys to fly on an airplane! We took so many forms of transportation in one day, it was crazy. Car to the parking lot, shuttle to the airport, train to the right terminal, walking escalator to our gate, the actual airplane, shuttle to the rental car, rental car to Gma and Gpa's! The boys were all great troopers! If it were just Jim and me it wouldn't have been so amazing, but with three little boys it was quite something. :)

Sporting their TSA kids' stickers. Looks like they're doing some good PR! ;-)

Since Jim is Wade's favorite person these days Jim sat with him and they both did great.

Waiting for Jim to get the rental car for us, we saw many LOUD airplanes fly overhead just about to land at LAX. Ever since then Wade has been noticing planes!

Yay! So fun to see the Jensen's in their new cozy cottage. Mom and Dad took some slats off of the fence so the kids can share the dog-run area for more backyard space. Their house looked nice and inviting! It was fun to have the kids run back and forth from their yard to Mom & Dad's kitchen door to visit the whole week.

Sweet Lars!

We didn't waste any time getting over to In 'n' Out Burger. Yum!

Happy Father's Day to Jim!

Anders read well to Garrett and Wyatt.

Watching some shows and relaxing together.

Enjoying Grandma's highchair (and Rice Crispies)

Anders, Lars, Garrett and Wyatt playing industriously in the backyard, selling license plates for leaves.

So nice to get over to Grammy and Poppa's for breakfast. A tour of the orchard is always in order. Fun to see fruit dripping off of the trees!

Wade grabbed a peach and scarfed it down!! I barely got the pit out in time.

Nice to be with Gma & Gpa enjoying a meal together again.

Great to sit around and chat with everyone!

Madeline brought her violin.

Mom and us girls had a nice evening at Mimi's.

Abby was so sweet with the kids! Wyatt acting like a baby.

Mom provided such nice hospitality.

Garrett drinking milk "like a kitty."

SO NICE to get to the beach!

Our last day. I love this picture of Mom with Wade!

Back on the airplane, the boys' highlight was definitely getting Dr. Pepper!!

And Wade was just happy to get his Daddy. And his Daddy's hat.
